Cartika, a provider of managed application and cloud hosting services, has launched a new ‘Premium Partner Program’ for its reseller hosting services. The new approach would give reselling partners complete control over the hosting environments they manage for their clients while Cartika takes care of the day-to-day infrastructure management tasks and support.

Alternatively, Plesk can be used with either platform if required. Customers can leverage popular billing tools such as WHMCS, Hostbill, or other systems through Cartika’s extensive API functionality. There are also no limits for partners concerning important aspects of the service such as the number of domains, accounts, databases, or bandwidth.
Also, partners have access to a wide range of add-on solutions that can be “seamlessly” added to the platform giving them a broad portfolio of on-demand IT services to help grow their revenues. This would include options such as Cartika’s Email-as-a-Service, SPAM-Filtering-as-a-Service, and others.
“A significant portion of the company’s business comes from our large and growing network of partners,” said Andrew Rouchotas, CEO of Cartika. “The new program we have launched includes our Proactive Management package which means Cartika will fully manage the environment with 24×7 ‘live’ support. Whether it’s building a SaaS business, or creating world-class websites, this new model will let our partners focus on what they do best instead of worrying about the underlying infrastructure, and routine tasks such as monitoring, patching, security, and backups.”
As part of the introduction of its new Premier Partner Program, Cartika also shared its plans to phase out their previous shared hosting model offered in the past. According to Cartika, shared hosting has become a declining part of the web hosting services space in recent years as the performance and cost-effectiveness of cloud have dramatically risen. Cartika’s decision to move away from reseller shared hosting would also align with the evolving nature of its clients and partners – as both are becoming more sizable and sophisticated in their IT needs.
